About me

Gilbert Wigankow

Hi, I am Gilbert Wigankow, a Berlin-based designer and employer at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany. There, I am, among other things, responsible for our new tiny house on wheels, the “FHP Mobil”: https://www.fh-potsdam.de/forschung-transfer/transfer/fhp-mobil.

The website you are visiting at the moment is my personal site, on which I show the results of my longtime hobby, photography. Here I show my most-liked images that I made during my spare time in the last couple years. The pictures I made that are work-related are not included in this collection.

Recently, I got a new lens, which I love and use the most at the moment. It’s the Nikon 200-500mm F5.6E ED VR. With this lens, I started the journey to become a wildlife photography hobbyist.

This is my current camera and the lenses I own and use:

  • Nikon D800
  • Sigma Art 35 mm F1.4
  • Sigma Art 50 mm F1.4
  • Nikon 85 mm F1.8 G
  • Nikon 200-500mm F5.6E ED VR
